Dear Prime Minister and Foreign Minister,

I am writing to express my deep grave concern and horror regarding an unlawful raid by israeli forces targeting Australian citizens. On 10 September 2026, israeli forces raided the home of Mrs. Sousan Douar (b. 4 March 1976) and her minor child, both Australian citizens, located on Tulkarm (West Bank). IOF personnel armed with automatic weapons entered their home without a court order, explanation, or legal basis, terrifying a vulnerable mother and child.

This raid is a clear tactic of forced displacement and intimidation – part of a systematic pattern of ethnic cleansing in Tulkarm, a city currently suffering under siege, destroyed infrastructure, enforced disappearances, and military blockade.

Just weeks ago, the Israeli military cleared its personnel of criminal responsibility for the killing of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom. The Australian Government failed to secure justice for Zomi. You must not fail this Australian family too.

Please don’t tell this family to “evacuate” from their own ancestral home as it is unacceptable. The Douar family has a right to safety in their home, free from illegal military aggression. Australia’s foreign policy must reflect international law and protect its citizens abroad without compromise.

I call on the Australian Government to take immediate, concrete action:

  1. Summon the Israeli Ambassador to formally account for this unlawful raid on an Australian citizen.
  2. Provide immediate diplomatic protection and monitoring for this family in Tulkarm.
  3. Formally address and oppose the illegal occupation, land seizures, and settlement expansion in accordance with Australia’s obligations under international law.

I look forward to your prompt response detailing the actions taken.

Yours sincerely,
