LET THE FOOD THROUGH.

Dear Minister,

I am writing to ask Australia to urgently act on the worsening hunger crisis in Gaza.

The World Food Programme has been forced by a major funding shortfall to cut assistance from 1.6 million people to 1.1 million. At the same time, humanitarian agencies continue to report serious barriers affecting how much aid can enter Gaza and reach civilians.

Please support:

1. At least A$10 million in additional Australian funding to WFP’s Palestine operation.

2. Strong Australian diplomatic pressure for safe, sustained and unhindered humanitarian access into and throughout Gaza.

Behind these numbers are mothers watching their babies lose weight and children grow weaker when they should be growing.

We cannot watch this happen and say there was nothing we could do.

Fund the food. Let the food through.

Please let me know what action you will take.

Kind regards,
